Never say”never”! Since our vacation house has become our permanent home, we will be installing televisions which I had previously indicated would never happen. Time changes everything, otherwise how would we know who got kicked off DWTS or the Bachelor/ette? So Dish Network guy shows up and we discuss where the dish will go; of course, with OSHA and everything, they can’t put it on the roof, accessible from the deck as it may be. I don’t want it blocking the view so it will go on the lower deck, and we should also consider where the internet satellite dish will go. In the meantime, two beloved trees will have to come down to allow clear sitelines to the satellite. And so it goes.
More unpacking and squeezing 2 houses into one. The ‘one’ is a lovely cabin in the woods, Midway between Saranac Lake and Tupper Lake, NY. Today I saw at least 3 groups of 3 or 4 deer crossing the lake on ice I didn’t think would support a human much less a tip toey 4 legged creature. No one here would come to the rescue if they fell in, unlike in Waltham or Boston. More likely venison stew would be on the menu for dinner. Ah, the North Country. We’re going out soon to accumulate more cash (gotta join a local bank soon), hit the hardware store because why not? And probably go to another brewery for dinner. I guess I’ll have to start cooking something sooner or later. But it won’t be venison.
